"If you're not the person talking, others will do the talking for you." Arlene Dickinson

Almost 3 years later Twitter becomes a major part of creating a brand identity for yourself or your business.

I signed up a few months ago, tweeted a little, then forgot about it...Until today at the CMA Convention in Toronto. Twitter may have well been a big blue bird fluttering in the corner. Check out the conventions hash tag #cma11 for an influential conversation of the days events.

Amazing how fast Twitter became an essential tool in business and marketing. And to think we briefly touch on the subject of social media impact in school. Definitely something colleges and universities need to incorporate into marketing programs.

Hey... gotta agree with you here. Even I've no clue as to the whole purpose of twitter. I mean who in the right mind would be interested in knowing whether I'm shittin' in my pants or...

More than that, who the hell has even got the time to sit and watch it all day long? Except maybe for a bunch of half-crazed teenyboppers with nothing better to do.

I just don't get the concept of the so-called "microblogging". The only good point about twitter is that it does help in spreading certain news much faster than mainstream media.. like it happened during the Burma hurricane + floods or China earthquake.

But that's about it.
