So I just upgraded to 2.6 and was trying to login and nothing was working, so I did password recover about 3 times which didn’t fix it. I was about to go into my database and manually change my password when I decided to do a google search and came across a post where someone described my exact situation (except with an earlier version of wordpress) where they couldn’t login on firefox so they tried on Internet Explorer and BAM, worked. I’m not that happy though I hate IE so I hope they fix this bug soon.
Edit: Well looks like all I needed to do was logout then log back in (I logged out while testing the new comment sezwho thing), well if you had this problem now you know why!

Honestly, I was fed up with FF2. Eventually, I downloaded the FF3 Portable edition. It works fine, in fact, better than FF2. However, the memory issue is still the problem because it tends to consume quite a large amount of memory compared to IE7.
