Update (12/19/2009): I ended up speaking with the owner of GMB Direct, Gene on the phone about an hour after this post was published. We talked about some really great stuff and I must say I was completely wrong to jump the gun on these guys. They really do have a lot of great offers they are just hidden. Also, apparently this contest was meant to be for their mailers specifically. Either way I still think the contest shouldn’t have been publicized like it was (spamming my e-mail). Regardless I am not taking this post down nor changing what I said, I take action for my word and will also support how I felt at the time of writing. It looks like me and Gene may be doing some business relatively soon. Sometimes things like this can turn out good for both parties.
Are these guys for real? I’m not trying to piss anyone off but someone needs to point out the stupidity of GMB Direct.
On December 16th I get a random e-mail called “Win a VIP Date with a Playmate Contest”. So I open it and look it over, I notice I have never signed up with these guys nor opted in to any of their e-mail lists before so I know they are just spamming every affiliates e-mail they can find.
The e-mail looked decent and a date with a playmate sounded kinda cool so I figured what the hell and signed up to the network. I got approved relatively quickly so I logged in too see what offers I could run and perhaps win this contest. This is where it gets stupid.
They only have 10 offers to run….10! Not only do they only have 10 but 7 of them are just lame scammy biz opps and the other 3 are a complete joke.
Can you honestly say with a straight face that you should be running a contest right now? I think you need to be spending all of your time GETTING OFFERS and not trying to sucker people into signing up only to present them with a list of offers worse than MarketLeverage.

Bryn you don’t have to run the offers and we are NOT like a lot of other networks , because we are not really a network . We have our internal offer that we do well with and some stuff that’s well branded that we just can’t throw up and let just anyone run. Not a fit for you not a problem . We work with mailers mostly and the contest is more for them than any new pubs the only reason your account was approved fast is because we know who you are . I do not get offended and I have enough friends in thiz biz not to take shit close to heart . And they are 2008 playmates and you don’t need 300 offers to make the $$ , you need the right offers for the right people . I guess maybe you are Clueless

I don’t know much about the GMB network, but I know about Gene, and I know he knows his shit when it comes to ladies, whether its randoms from Craigslist or Playboy playmates.

Getting a date with a playboy bunny or 2 is nothing different then hiring a vegas escort, except you will not get any.
Plus most girls in that industry care more about $$$ then they do trying to date or hook up with anyone who looks at them as a bunny.
How do I know ? My girl of 5 years was a “bunny” for first playboy live and then club jenna before she went “solo”, and I know the mentality of most of the girls.
And BTW Gene, Bryn is not clueless, so I guess you are just playing when you are saying that, if not then shut your mouth.

GMB isn’t a network. That’s just an interface that lets you run their offers, which are in-house. Plus Gene is the man.

Anyways, I just went to the contest website. i know those girls. the redhead is that racing foldout beauty..so hot. The brunette is that young chick from “The Girls Next Door”..so young and yummie 
Gotta give credit to Gene and his team. I would much rather win this contest than any other contest i see from the affiliate networks. What offers they got is a different story but for the right payout i can make any offer work (and so can most of us). Date with those chicks is the right payout for me 
so I am joining the contest as we speak. Happy New Years to ALL!

Update ! Bryn is an awesome Guy & not clueless at all . He is really on point and I am glad he pointed some stuff we did wrong that got this party started .
