This seems to be the case in most of the desirable domain names. Its really difficult to get hold of one you like and want. I managed to get my family name and intend to keep it always. Apart from that I have tried with my name, but never could get what I wanted and instead of compromising and choosing something that is similar or near to what I want, I have continued with only a single domain name. Now that domain names have been opened to be whatever you desire, only our imagination should limit us from having the kind of domain name we want.

I was able to get “itsy.me” for use as an iphone app site. No problems here. Sorry to hear of the problems other have had.

Yes, I agree with you .me was a total fail, it is just going to be like .asia the day it came out everyone was after it week later no one cares.

I think I got beam.me because I got the sale confirmation e-mail and no FAILURE e-mail. Although nearly 12 hours later the domain name has yet to show up in my domains control panel. Ugh…

Yup, the thing I hope that doesn’t happen is if they only give people back “credits” on go daddy instead of full refunds, that will cause a outrage for sure.

I ‘registered’ four .me domains, get confirmation of success and payment annnnd then the ‘domain taken’ email about an hour or so later. Lame.

Wow that is pretty ridiculous, godaddy needs to get their self straightened out.
