Are you ready to call it quits because of all your failures? If you quit now you’re just screwing yourself. I think the people who have failed the most have the most experience. I remember failing with so many projects, campaigns and websites, but I never gave up.
Why did I not give up? Because I was still enjoying myself. You should not be doing this just to make a quick buck or get rich, if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing at the end of the day then maybe affiliate marketing isn’t for you.
If I could give one tip for people struggling right now, it would be to SET A GOAL. Trust me, I know it sounds stupid and people say it all the time. I always thought it was stupid too. Then randomly one day I went into paint and just typed out (in large font):
GOAL BY MAY 2009:
BE MAKING $500 PROFIT PER DAY
I chose May because that’s when I will be finished College. I saved the image and put it as my desktop image. The funny thing is you don’t really start to think about it or think it’s going to do anything but when you constantly see it, it starts to get into your head and I feel it really helped motivate me. It’s not even May of 2009 yet and I shattered that goal a while ago…I think it’s time to set a new goal, $10,000 per day?

Good luck with the new goal!
I totally agree. Having a written goal in front of you daily is very important. I have a 3×5 card with “$50,000 month” (& goal date) written on it, taped at the bottom of my monitor. Also, for me, I find I need to attach it to something I want to accomplish because the money alone just doesn’t keep me going.
Continued success!

Couldn’t agree more. If you’re just doing affiliate marketing because it’s “easy” or “quick cash,” it’s probably not for you. Hard work, education, and goal setting have to be involved in order to become successful. Some affiliates may have that success overnight, but if you’re not constantly working to improve and stay ahead of the curve, all that original work will be useless. Good luck on your next goal!

I do not think that you should ever give up on affiliate marketing no matter what way you are doing it. I think it is easier just to market with your affiliate accounts through a blog.

Goals are awesome, yet useless without a plan to reach said goal. Just picking a # and taping it to the wall is only going to frustrate most when they have no clue how to achieve it. 🙂

That can be true but if you give yourself a good amount of time and you actually want to achieve the goal anyone can do it.
