Quick Way To Get Faster Results With Facebook Ads

by Bryn Youngblut on November 29, 2008

A little trick I like to do to get volume as fast as possible is to simply raise your daily budget to the max, which happens to be $100,000. Facebooks ad platform is pretty stupid to even allow you to do this since your daily limit is most likely not anywhere near that. You won’t go over your accounts daily limit anyways so don’t worry. To be honest most of my campaigns are set at this but for other people if your testing a new campaign this is a quick way to get faster results. Just make sure you monitor it very closely so you don’t blow your money before you even know what happened.

To set it at 100K, I assume you actually have a couple thousand to spend, just in case…..

Well I can but your account changes a bit once you get a dedicated manager. Like before I had to wait until the next day to have my daily limit changed for a campaign, while now it’s instant. So I was asking you, since I’m guessing yours is still the regular account if it let’s you go that high. I didn’t learn this trick until I got a dedicated account manager.

Oh, I haven’t even started on Facebook yet lol. I was asking generally. You stated pretty nonchalantly that you can just set it for 100K, no big deal.

But, I would assume if one was to do that, he/she better have a couple-few thousand to spare to back that up…at least.

Yeah of course, well with facebook as I explained it’s weird, you can make your campaign limit 100k but your daily spend for your account might only be 100 bucks, so you won’t go over your daily spend limit. There is a lot that needs fixing with the platform…that’s for sure.

Scary. lol. This is a similar trick I use with Google Adwords. It insures that the ads get displayed all the time. But most people are scared to use this tactic. Let me clarify though, with Adwords I don’t set it to $100,000, that’s too scary. lol.

Thanks for this post. I was having a hard time scaling once of my campaigns and this really helped out. Even though I set my campaign at $100,000, Facebook still cut me off long before then, but I had never seen that many impressions or clicks before.

hey bryn, my facebook daily limit is still at $100. How long does it take for it to increase to $10,000/day.

Honestly, I wouldn’t try that myself…

I had experiences with Facebook Ads, with a daily budget a $1,000 (for 2 weeks minimum as it was stipulated) I tried to experiment a bit like on Advwords.

My first Ads were at about $0.50 per click, and got maxed out almost instantly by Facebook. Later on I tried to lower to $0.20 (or 0.25) and guess what, I got maxed out too, but this time with over double the same traffic.

The conversion was horrible and I really had doubts that the clicks were genuine. Each time regardless of the cost per click, my daily limit got maxed out almost instantly! So going with 100K? No way for me!

Was it bad luck or what I don’t know, but after 1 month like that I was done forever and back onto my much preferred Adwords.

Hey Bryn,

Thanks for the tip, I tried this on an ad that I had been running for over a month that was getting about 260 clicks a day regularly.

When I did this, my clicks skyrocketed to 800+ for that day!

I don’t know if this volume will continue for me but it did work in the short term at least. It actually resulted in me having my highest profit day so far on Facebook so I am very grateful for the tip!
