The post The Easiest Way To Split Test Landing Pages first appeared on Bryn Youngblut.
]]>First off I want to say this is in no way a paid post and I rarely write about services or products unless I TRUELY love and use them.
The service is called VisualWebsiteOptimizer (my affiliate link)
As much as I could write about how awesome this service is, it’s really just easier to just try it for yourself.
You literally can setup a split test in seconds and see results instantly, without ever touching a thing on your website or server. How awesome is that?
Basically, you put some lines of code on your landing page ONCE. After that it’s a piece of cake.
I used to be really lazy when it came to split testing things on my landing pages but I gotta say with how easy this thing is to use it’s actually kinda addictive.
Now I do random tests all the time switching things around, constantly improving my pages.
Check out the video below:
That video seems out of date because it’s actually easier than they show in that video now.
Anyway I highly recommend trying out VisualWebsiteOptimizer, there’s a 30 day free trial so you have nothing to lose.

]]>I just started using DirectCPV and talked to these guys at AdTechNY and they have a great network setup with some interesting traffic sources.
Essentially the traffic comes from their LoudMo Products.
So far it seems to be a decent network to try and expand on volume that you are already having success with elsewhere.
I think everyone should at least sign up and take a look around. The key is getting in early!

Exerpts From Some Old Zango Emails
Definitely some interesting reads if you’re in the CPV/PPV space.

]]>Just got this email:
It is with great excitement that we announce the relaunch of Zango Ad Services as LeadImpact. You will continue to receive the great customer service and ROI that you have come to expect from us, and based on your input, we are also working on additional improvements that you will see in the coming weeks and months.
Starting November 10th, the Zango Ad Services Web site will redirect you to www.LeadImpact.com, where you will be able to log into your account directly. All of your account and login information will stay exactly the same, your campaigns will remain active and this change will not affect traffic delivery.
Could this be because of some of their shady practices in the past, or maybe the fact that they recently went belly up. Either way I’ve been with Zango for a long time now and they still have a ton of traffic. It will be interesting to see where LeadImpact takes this.

]]>The post 5 Things You MUST Know About Managing Large Facebook Ad Campaigns first appeared on Bryn Youngblut.
]]>The following is a guest post by Dennis Yu, whose company, BlitzLocal is one of the largest Facebook advertisers.
If you’re like us, you have dozens if not hundreds of Facebook campaigns– each with a couple dozen ads. And if you don’t have an automated tool to manage ads (believe me, it’s nice, but not necessary), then you have to have some tricks to keep things organized and under control.
Let me share a few with you:
If you do a ton of testing, you can have TWO campaigns for an offer: One is ultra high budget so you can get all the traffic you can, assuming you have nailed down profits there. But if the ads are not proven, then have a test campaign with a really small budget (under $50 a day)– that ensures that no ad runs away from you. Just imagine you mixed text and performance together– you could have one ad go out of control and burn $10k in one day on you. There’s no ad level budgeting, so the campaign option is the way to go.We could cover a bunch of smaller topics, such as how to rotate offers between networks or naming conventions for campaigns and subid tracking– but these 5 tricks will likely give you the biggest bang for the buck on your time, especially if you’re managing very large campaigns and doing Facebook ads for a living.
I hope you found this useful!

]]>It seems like I get emails about ppv almost every day now because of the post I made a while back about how great the potential for it is.
If you don’t know what PPV is, read this first.
As complicated as so many people make it seem, PPV is actually very easy. The problem is it’s very time consuming.
One of the most common questions I get is should you target by keywords or urls, and I will say this one more time, there really is no difference. The only proven way I have found to make successful PPV campaigns is to track everything and analyze what’s working and what’s not. Cut out what’s losing you money and keep what isn’t…simple. Again it’s very time consuming if you’re analyzing thousands of keywords/urls but once you get a hang of it and if you have the discipline it is relatively easy.
When it comes to a landing page or direct linking the offer, it really depends on the offer. It also really depends on how you do it. I’m not going to reveal all my tactics I’ve learned on my own but if you think out the box and look at what others are doing it’s really not that hard to figure it out. Always split test, for short form/lead submits direct linking usually works fine. For free trials a long presell is usually necessary but not always. I usually do split tests with a landing page vs. direct linking because you never know.
Think outside the box, try new things, take more risks…the rewards are limitless.

Failed April Fools Joke:

It’s pretty clear that Shoemoneys fooled a lot of people, while John Chows fooled hardly anyone (not to mention the words affiliate manager in his link are spelt wrong).

]]>I’ve been hesitant to talk about this since not many people do but I think there is lot’s of room in the space so without further adue…
PPV (Pay Per View) is also known as contextual advertising and not many people talk about it, and I have being hesitant too also. Why you may ask? Because it is incredible. You can literally spend $20 and make over $1000 which is a pretty sweet ROI.
PPV is technically Adware, not to get confused with spyware. Adware comes from an ad supported program that a user installed onto their PC, which they agreed to when installing it. PPV allows you to not only bid on keywords but also domains.
Example of setting up a PPV Campaign
The most common ad shown is a full screen popup or if you want popunder.
So let’s say for instance you want to promote a email submit giving away a free Apple iPhone.
For your keywords (I personally prefer targetting websites over keywords) you would be smart to target websites such as:
You can see where I’m going with this.
What will happen is when someone with the adware installed visits one of those websites, your popup will come up with your iphone offer. The conversion rate on something like this would be pretty high, and even if it’s low the bids are usually so rediculously cheap (0.0015 cents) that it won’t matter.
That’s really all there is too it, you can set up new campaigns in literally minutes. The only annoying part is waiting for them to get approved which is usually 1 business day.
What PPV networks should I use?
I personally recommend the following three:
You should sign up for all 3 because it can take a few days to get approved.
I’ve learned a few nice tricks while playing around with various PPV networks which I will share shortly so stay tuned for more.

]]>So I was just looking over my stats for the past few days and I was pleasantly surprised. My ROI went up a nice amount over the last few days. Basically what happened and taught me a great lesson is patience can pay off huge. What I decided to do before the holidays was lower all my bids enough that I knew I would still get good traffic but also cover any losses if conversions went down a bit while I was away. I was surprised to see that even though I lowered my bids traffic kept up and so did conversions, so my ROI increased a nice amount.
I have a bad habit of increasing my bids to get more traffic but it usually ends up losing me money (a lot more gross sales but less net profit). I am still leaving it all as it was and it’s still doing great. I feel I’ve done enough tweaking the past few months with a few of these campaigns that it’s time to work on new ones and keep an eye on the others.
I hope everyone else’s campaigns did well over the holidays, it’s always great to come back to more money and not more problems.
